“Our Favourite” Log House

A big log house circa 1840

The above image is an artist’s rendition.

So often now, we find more clients that only require a single-storey house, staircases just being beyond their ability. Well, we aim to please when we can.

This time we’re putting two of our houses together in a plan that comes up to about 1800 sq. ft.  It’s almost all in log but has two salt-book sections in frame that could be clapboarded or shingled. One allows for a spacious kitchen while the other works as a large foyer and an extra room for an office or guest room. The main log house has some of the largest logs we’ve ever had in the yard.

You might as well get in on the final design and have your country dream house tailored for your family’s needs.
