Delany House – What Lies Beneath?

Could we be so lucky?

There was one in particular, the likes of which we had never seen. The fact that it had remained covered until we found it accounted in great measure for its condition. After we had removed its siding, we were aghast at the size of the logs. They were all hewn to a thickness of eight inches but the first one that sat upon the stone foundation, as I remember, was thirty inches tall. Those above it weren’t much smaller. And the tight gaps between the logs wasted very little of the pine timber. I would have to admit, this was the best house of log we’d ever found after about forty years in the business. And for the next twenty years as well.

The Pre-build Perfection is obvious as Bill Beaton starts to set up the walls. Only a fine wash will be needed to reveal the amazing colour of the logs.

Our client needed it on top of a cliff without road access. We barged the logs and a Telehandler across Lake Dorset.
